Kati Thanda Reflection VI. Kati Thanda (Lake Eyre) in South Australia contains the lowest point in Australia, approximately 15m below sea level. When torrential rainfalls happen in Queensland, the lake slowly fills. We were fortunate to visit the lake twice in 2019, chartering several flights over the lake. We could take the doors off the small planes, which allowed us to capture this almost mystical region’s true magic.
The ‘Reflections’ series was taken during our first visit in July, soon after the lake started to fill with the floodwaters. The reflections’ serene beauty in the lake’s early morning and the sky touches the soul. I hope that this picture does it for you too! A fine art photographic print.
